Enjoying a peaceful location overlooking a mature wood coppice and surrounded by open countryside, this beautifully finished stone barn is the perfect base for exploring the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean and Welsh Borders. With acres of woodlands, a lake, paddocks and farm walks to enjoy throughout the year, there is plenty to see and do on foot. The property is set on the doorstep of the Wye Valley and within easy reach of the River Wye from both Symonds Yat (4 miles) and Hoarwithy (6 Miles), where you can hire canoes, or simply enjoy the abundance of wildfire along the Wye Valley Trail. For cyclists, the Forest of Dean cycle trail and downhill park are a must, along with the Gruffalo trail and sculpture trail at Beechenhurst (10 miles). The vibrant market towns of both Monmouth and Ross on Wye are just 5 miles away, offering a range of independent shops, cafes and restaurants, both in picturesque settings.

Leave the hustle and bustle of the everyday behind as you approach the barn through open countryside. Enjoying a secluded location with open aspect gardens to the front, guests enter via the front of the barn into the main living space, open plan and beautifully finished with classic colours and soft furnishings. The lounge area offers comfortable seating that fronts a wood burning stove, a TV for a good film, and from here, guests have access to the dining area where a generously sized table and chairs welcomes guests at supper time. The open plan kitchen has been finished with a contemporary style and offers everything you may need for preparing meals during your stay. Furthermore, there is a utility room that’s a great space for muddy paws and wet coats. The ground floor offers guests the choice of three bedrooms, a double room enjoying a front aspect, with en-suite shower and WC, a double room with French doors opening onto the courtyard, and a twin room to the rear of the barn. There is a family bathroom with handheld shower over bath, bidet, and WC.

Guests are free to explore the woodlands and farm land. The barn is surrounded by open aspect grounds with table and chairs for summer dining. There is ample private parking.
