From this detached, sea view holiday cottage, Nefyn Beach and all the village's amenities are within 1 mile. This lovely village on the northern coast of the Llyn Peninsula has amenities that include village shops, pubs and restaurants as well as takeaways, a library, chemist and museum. Set within its own large grounds, this delightful cottage also has direct access to the Wales Coast Path and enjoys some amazing sunsets across the sea. There are beautiful coastal villages dotted all around the Llyn Peninsula, which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Abersoch (12 miles) and Aberdaron (14 miles) are renowned for their beautiful beaches and water sports opportunities. Highly recommended days out include a visit to nearby Nant Gwrtheyrn (5 miles), a Welsh Heritage Centre in a magical location with a café and private beach. Take a boat trip to Bardsey Island (leaving from Porth Meudwy, 15.5 miles away), a former site of religious pilgrimage, or relax at Plas Glyn-y-Weddw (10 miles), a magnificent manor with galleries, beautiful gardens and a tearoom with sea views. Enjoy some go-karting, ten-pin bowling and archery at Glasfryn Parc (8 miles), explore Cricieth Castle (13 miles) and Caernarfon Castle (20 miles) and discover the Italianate-style village of Portmeirion (20 miles).

Enter this reverse-style cottage on the ground floor and find the two bedrooms separated by a long, thin hallway. The first is an en-suite double room featuring a lovely Victorian brass/iron bed and sea views. The second is a luxurious twin which also boasts sea views. There is a separate shower room with a WC near the front door and the ground floor is finished with the utility room. Head up the narrow staircase next to the double room to find the open-plan kitchen/dining/lounge area, a lovely, cosy room with amazing sea and mountain views, stunning sunsets and the bonus of a welcoming wood burner. The kitchen is well equipped and the dining area features a large pine farmhouse table with six pine chairs. The inviting lounge area includes a large chesterfield sofa and a three-seater sofa which opens out into a bed. A large pine coffee table, side tables and occasional tables along with a TV and DVD player complete the offering.

Move outside and you’ll find enclosed grounds boasting a lawn and a patio area. Here you have a wooden table with four chairs and two benches to relax. As an extended garden to this holiday cottage, Nefyn Beach can also be accessed via a footpath on the opposite side of the road.

A beautifully furnished cottage and an ideal location to explore the Llyn Peninsula. Yes, the cottage sits alongside a road but this did not cause a problem. The upside down social areas offer uninterrupted views of the sea and the cottages grounds are immaculately kept. A lovely place to escape to.

The main reason for score was the location of the cottage, although a brief mention of being situated near a road, it was set against a busy B road which caused traffic noise from 5.00 am in the morning and sometimes in the middle of the night which did hamper sleep. Your property description did not state the six steps from the car park area to the property or the steep stairs inside the property. It is suitable for fully able bodied people only, we struggled to get up and down the stairs carrying item

The position was brilliant and well equipped kitchen - welcome pack was appreciated, There were some black hairs on the bedroom floor. There was no bin liner in the kitchen bin and the bin liners in under the sink did not fit so had to provide these for ourselves asap The disposal of rubbish up the lane was a bit of a disappointment and there wereRead more no easy accessible bins for glass etc which made recycling difficult. The house electric heaters were set at 12.5 with instructions not to alter unless we were cold. We were cold as Storm Noah came in and the house does not get warm in early April so we put up the heating and bought several log packs to burn on the wood burner. To really improve dishwasher and or washing machine tablets would have been appreciated and a bit more washing up liquid - again we had to purchase our own. The scenery was stunning and the weather did not ruin our holiday. We were asked to fill in the visitors' book but couldnt find it! Hide

The cottage was lovely, in a great location and we really did have the best time. However, as with all places we visit we did find some issues that need to be addressed. The ground floor was cold and quite damp feeling, even when using the heaters which we tried to keep low and advice in the manual. Were guessing that there was no one in the weeRead morek before us as it did take nearly a day to get the house warm. There appears to be a wood louse problem, always 1 or 2 on the bedroom floors and the hall way which we had to squash. We even brought 3 home with us so had to leave our case and bag on our patio just to make sure. The floors appeared clean but needed a really good mop as our socks were quite dirty. Some of the uttentials need replacing and the dishwasher didnt always start first time. The lights on the cooker hood didnt work. Wed suggest getting a slightly smaller dresser in the kitchen so the fridge can go against the wall rather than at the top of the stairs. Bath sheets would be nicer, rather than towels. Hide
