This charming holiday home is within the wing of a beautiful, traditional farmhouse that was converted from an old dairy and dates back to 1742. Restored with a combination of stylish and traditional features, it offers a romantic atmosphere for couples, with space for one small child if needed. Located on a working farm in Mid Wales, guests can ramble around the farm and surrounding countryside. See impressive history at medieval Powis Castle (4 miles), which has beautiful National Trust gardens, and visit the charming market town of Welshpool (4 miles) to ride the steam train and indulge in dinners at local pubs or restaurants. Don’t miss the breathtaking Lake Vyrnwy (20 miles): as if the views there aren’t enough, you can also try watersports like sailing or kayaking.

Enter the wing of this historic farmhouse to find your charming home from home that has a reverse-level layout, with the ground floor featuring a shower room next to the large double bedroom. The bedroom also has a single bed to accommodate a small child if you come as a family. Enjoy the Freeview TV from the comfort of your bed and appreciate the traditional features like the ceiling beams and dressing table. Head upstairs to your first-floor, open-plan living area boasting wooden ceiling beams. The kitchen has a window so you can look out at a view of greenery as you cook up romantic or family dinners, which can be enjoyed at the small dining table. The leather sofa faces the countryside-view windows and the TV and DVD player, creating a delightful relaxation space.

The ultimate romantic pampering spot is outside in your private hot tub with panoramic rural views that you’ll never tire of. A wall separates it from the shared grounds of the main farmhouse, where you have access to a garden bench so you can sit back and enjoy the tranquillity of your setting.

A very lovely cottage in very beautiful surroundings, had a wonderful stay and lovely host . We used the cottage as a base as we went on some fantastic walks all around Wales, so by the time we got back to the cottage we were most definitely ready for the hot tub , an absolute godsend for our aching legs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It is very traditional with lovely decor and comfy beds and pillows. There was an array of cleaning products, kitchen and bathroom wipes, even some shampoo and conditioner to use. Waiting for us was a box of chocolates, some cakes, and a bottle of Asti which we very much enjoyed in the lovely hot tub wRead moreith spectacular views over the Welsh valley. Even comfy robes that are a good size were provided for the hot tub. Plenty of kitchenware is provided for all your meal needs and a selection of tourist leaflets for things to do. The cottage is on a working farm but surprisingly this does not affect how peaceful and relaxing it is. We happily walked around the farm with no issue and strolled up the country lane for some more spectacular views. Location was perfect! The lovely village of Welshpool is about a 10 minute drive down the long country road, just look out for pheasants that seem to run towards your car, not away! lol. Highly recommend a trip on the Light railway which goes between Welshpool and Llanfair, and the Royal Oak hotel and Raven pub have great food :) A little further out but a must is lake Vrnwy where you can walk across the long bridge and enjoy the views, hire bikes, Kayake, paddle board, or just chill with an ice cream.
