Property code: OC-63965

This two-bedroom barn conversion offers a wonderful base for exploring the North Wales coast. Benefiting from a truly rural location, this undisturbed property is situated in the fantastic county of Gwynedd, just 1.5 miles from the village of Llangwnnadl. The surrounding Llyn Peninsula is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that’s awash with pretty beaches, the closest of which is the remote sandy spot of Penllech Beach (2.5 miles). Here you can embark on any number of water sports activities, including kayaking, rock pooling or simply relaxing on the sand. Pack hiking boots and a nourishing picnic to discover the three peaks of Yr Eifl (14 miles) or head down to the brink of the peninsula and board the Bardsey Island ferry from Porth Meudwy (7.5 miles), a spot not too far from the coastal town of Aberdaron (6 miles).

Capacious rooms, high ceilings and quality slate flooring are just some of the features that make this property stand out. The heart of the house is its open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner, a wonderful room with French doors offering direct access out and skylights up high. On one side of the room sits the kitchen with a dining table set for four. Underfloor heating throughout the ground floor offers a cosy start to any cold morning. In the lounge space, you’ll find bright and bold sofas, a wall-mounted TV/DVD, perfect for spending quality time together as night falls. Also on the ground floor is a welcoming double bedroom, complete with a wrought iron bed and further underfloor heating, and a fully fitted family bathroom. The second bedroom can be found on a mezzanine floor just above the living area, accessed via a set of locally crafted stairs. Made up as a twin, this bedroom is set underneath the eaves and therefore has restricted head height and built-in skylights.

Throw open the French doors to enjoy direct access to the rear garden. Complete with lawn space and gravelled patio area, this enclosed garden is perfect for dining outdoors or simply enjoying the fresh air - take a seat at the picnic table and fire up the BBQ.

Pure bliss! Peaceful location, just 5 minutes drive from Porth Colmon beach. The best dog friendly cottage we have visited to date, genuinely secure garden, outside tap (with small hose) for sandy paws, heated stone floors inside (easy to keep clean) and all round very well equipped, well maintained, luxurious cottage. We wanted for nothing during Read moreour stay. We will definitely be returning. The unexpected welcome pack from the owner, was thoughtfully put together and pre-arrival communication was great, along with a personal visit to make sure all was OK during our stay. Couldnt fault any aspect of the very easy booking process, travel and arrival guide and follow up aftercare. All finished off by the cottage being spotlessly clean on arrival. Praise where it is due, well done! Hide

Beautiful cottage with everything you need, in a great location. Very friendly owners, made us and our dog very welcome. Loved the welcome pack, which even included dog biscuits. Had a wonderful week exploring the local walks and beaches.

High quality property for a good price. Carol ,the owner very helpful and pleasant. Booking procedure spot on. Very warm duvet in bedroom, maybe too warm for such a warm cottage. Leather double sofa a little difficult to operate. Otherwise loved every minute of our stay and would definitely return to this or adjacent cottages.
