Ysgubor Wen Poethfoel Tafarn Y Fedw Llanrwst Gwynedd LL26 0NL 14/05/2026 We stayed at one of Jaqui's most wonderful cottages at Ysgubor Wen, near Llanrwst, close to the Snowdonia national park in North Wales for a 3 night stay/holiday and had the best short break ever. Jaqui's hospitality is absolutely top draw. From the first greetiRead moreng explaining everything for us, with advice on local services, food and facilities to our departure morning with a little chat, she always made sure everything was okay and that we had everything we needed, really helpful, professional, respectful and discreet. The cottage was adorable with magnificent views, surrounded by rolling countryside and working farms, in an idyllic location perfect for trips to the beautiful north Wales coastline, it's towns, pubs, castles, lakes and mountains. We were spoilt for choice. The cottage we stayed in had absolutely everything. Exceptionally clean, very well equipped with brilliant facilities for cooking and entertainment or to simply sit outside in the garden and watch the wildlife. Magical. We stayed with some friends who live next to lake Como in Italy, even they felt at home, and were incredibly impressed at what Jaqui provided for us. The facilities came with lots of lovely little touches such as Welsh cakes, biscuits, fresh milk, ample tea and coffee. We had music, TV and even a wonderful selection of games, puzzles and brochures both for adults and children of any age. But the best was the kitchen. So well equipped even better than at home! A brilliant dinner table and an outdoor garden area where we spent most of the time with a bottle of wine or two. The accommodation was excellent, immaculately clean, very cozy and comfortable with ample linen and towels. Had the best sleep in a very long time. I would recommend either of Jaqui's cottages, suitable for either a short or long stay, it's a great location a pleasure to stay with her and i`d quite easily move in permanently tomorrow! Many thanks for a lovely weekend and looking forward to our return trip as soon as we can. Keep up the excellent work. Hide

This was a perfect base for our exploration of the beautiful north Wales. It had all that we needed for our stay, and was warm and cosy in the evening after our days out walking and cycling. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the property was everything we wanted, and we found the provisions left for us were generous and considerate. The property felt secluded but is still very close to town so that you have easy access to meet your needs. It was a perfect base for us to go exploring different areas of North Wales.

Ysgubor Wen is a very comfortable property with excellent facilities. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom make it accessible for a disabled person. All the equipment and fittings are of a high statndard and Jacqui is a good host, available but not intrusive. The snow was an interesting, no cost, option.
