There are beautiful stretching sands at Traeth Mawr (5 miles), Porth Nobla (6 miles), Traeth Llanddwyn (7 miles) and Porth Tyn Tywyn (8 miles). Anglesey Sea Zoo (8.5 miles) has the largest aquarium in Wales, home to over 150 native species. Explore the independent shops, pubs and eateries of Llangefni (6.5 miles), and visit Nant y Pandy Nature Reserve (6 miles), with its 25-acre wooded valley, rich in wildlife and history. South Stack Lighthouse (23 miles) has epic views out to sea.

Inside the cottage, you’ll find a bright and stylish interior. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has two lovely retro-style sofas and a large dining table, looking out onto the patio. The tranquil kitchen has all you need to cook up fine feasts, discretely arranged behind the lounge. The ground-floor king-size bedroom has a Jack and Jill en-suite shower room. Upstairs, you’ll find two super-king-size bedrooms, one with a Juliette balcony with far-reaching views, and access to an adjoining cot/playroom with a wooden horse, miniature furniture, books and games. The first-floor bathroom has a bath and a large shower cubicle.

Outside, there’s a private patio with views of the coast and distant Snowdonia, and garden furniture for al fresco soirees. There’s also an enclosed, shared seating/eating area to the front of the cottage, and an enclosed, shared garden with a large table and chairs.

The owners have paid great attention to detail. Lovely appointed property, very comfy beds. Spacious and modern. Superb location for exploring the island.
