Property code: OC-BOW137

This cottage stands alone surrounded by fields on the westernmost point of the Llyn Peninsula, and has views not only out to Bardsey Island and Aberdaron Bay, but across to the mountains of Snowdonia. You’re less than half a mile from a seasonal cafe and just 1.5 miles from the picturesque village of Aberdaron with its sandy beach, pub, restaurants and bakery. Windsurfing, kayaking and sailing are popular activities here as are boat trips to Bardsey, a nature reserve renowned for the many bird species that nest on the cliff edges. Also worth a visit is the National Trust property of Plas yn Rhi, a small Tudor/Georgian manor house in Aberdaron, with an ornamental garden and wonderful sea views.

The property is all on one level with no stairs. The spacious, open-plan living room is flooded with natural light and has picture windows framing the amazing views out to Bardsey Island. The modern kitchen has all the amenities you’d expect and a dining table seating four. Find comfortable sofas in the lounge area or take a seat in the conservatory and soak in the view. There are two bedrooms – one double and one twin, both furnished with TVs – and the bathroom features a shower above the bath.

The large garden has two picnic tables and a garden bench.

The cottage was great, really helpful owners who directed us when we got lost. We loved how clean and well equipped the cottage was and a great base for visiting Aberdaron, Hells Mouth Beach, Morfa Nefyn and many other beaches. Our dog loved the cool tiled floor and neighbouring sheep who were bigger than he was! Great cottage.

Excellent property. Very clean and well equipped. Felt very safe during some of the worst rain and wind weve ever experienced. The hosts were very welcoming and their welcome pack was much appreciated. Especially the fresh eggs. Location of property is excellent and plenty places to visit within easy reach. Would recommend Whistling Sands beach,TraRead moreeth Penllech beach and Traeth Porth Ceiriad beach for dog walking and coastal walks. Would recommend the bakery and fish and chip shop in Aberdaron. The cafe within walking distance of the property is also worth a visit especially for ice cream. The prices were very reasonable too. The view and sunset from the coastguard station at the top of Mynydd Mawr was very good too with its free car park at the top. The view of the night sky on clear nights is also excellent. Definitely would love to go back soon. Hide

When we arrived we were greeted by the owner who was really lovely and even left some treats for us which we thought was very kind. The cottage its self was spotlessly clean and very nicely decorated. We loved the views from where we were and especially enjoyed having coffee looking out of the picture windows. The cottage is very well equipped witRead moreh everything you need for a week self catering. The location is very close to Aberdaron village (by car) which is a lovely day out and is also not too far from Abersoch, Neffin and Llanbedrog. We had a great stay and would love to come back again. Fantastic place - really clean and well equipped (even had cake forks!). Great location - the views are superb in every direction - the photos don't do it justice. I couldn't think of a better place to celebrate my birthday.

The location of this property is brilliant. Panoramic views all round. Well equipped, the porch area is a complete sun trap! Good local walks, but, is a two mile walk to the village, only accessible by road. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place, spotlessly clean on arrival, owners easily contactable. But, be warned, the garden is NOT encloseRead mored. You can enclose it, but youd have to close the entrance gate, (used by another property), and their gate as well. However, dont let this distract you, had an absolutely perfect holiday here. Hide
