Property code: OC-TYNGER

This modern, semi-detached property, ideal for families, couples or small groups, is in the small village of Llaniestyn, in the heart of the Llyn Peninsula’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is renowned for its outstanding scenery. A host of walks can be found right from the doorstep, including the 1.5-mile rocky path up to Carn Fadryn, an Iron Age hillfort on top of the mountain which dominates the area. A riding centre in the village caters for both experienced and novice horse riders, and there are water sports in Abersoch, 5.5 miles away, where you will find numerous beaches and an array of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. For a spot of history, the National Trust manor house and garden of Plas yn Rhiw is 6 miles away.

Spacious and family-friendly, the house has an open-plan ground floor, full of light thanks to vast sliding doors, creating a wonderful space to get comfortable and appreciate being away on holiday. On one side is a smart lounge with comfortable seating, on the other is a handsome fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar around a central island, and in between is an attractive dining space. You'll also find a wet room and a useful utility room on this floor. An open-tread oak stairway leads up to the first floor, where the elegant, king-size bedroom has the benefit of an en-suite shower room and a glorious balcony. There is also a spacious twin bedroom, a family bathroom and – a feature you will surely love – a second lounge/chill-out area with access to the balcony, in which you can kick back, relax and admire the beautiful rural views.

From the lounge and dining areas, sliding doors open onto a large patio with outdoor furniture and the private, south-facing garden. The secure garden is mainly laid on lawn, and has a stream running along the boundary. This a lovely setting to try out the charcoal BBQ, or you might choose to sit back and bask in the evening sun. The property also boasts a long balcony, accessed from the chill-out area and the main bedroom – so you can wake up and step straight outside to fresh country air.

Beautiful house and high quality furnishings and equipment. Spotlessly clean. Downstairs bathroom with walk-in shower was a godsend for my husband who struggles to step over the bath tub, as the main bedroom en-suites was used by another couple. The owners are very helpful. Will use it again if we go to that part of the country. Thank you

We had two lovely weeks staying at Ty Nant, which is located in a very peaceful area. Very comfortable accommodation, spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything you might need. It was a perfect base to explore the Llyn Peninsula. We would definitely recommend Ty Nant to friends and family.

As we wanted to visit the National Eisteddfod of Wales nearby (the largest event of its kind in Europe) the location was ideal. We hope that future guests will appreciate and respect the Welsh language as it is still the main language of the area. We would recommend T Nant as an excellent base to visit the Lln Peninsula as the standard of the houseRead more and contents was very high. Hide

Ty Nant is a gem set in the peaceful heart of beautiful countryside but within easy reach of all the Lleyn beaches. Always great to come back and relax either on the terrace or cosy inside. A great find.

We absolutely loved our stay at Ty Nant! The house itself is beautiful, all feels very new, very clean and well kept. It had everything we needed. We would've loved to have sit out on the balcony and in the garden but the Welsh summer weather didn't quite allow it! We took a projector and used the little upstairs sitting area as a film room which tRead morehe kids loved! The location is actually perfect [once you get used to driving the narrow roads around!], it's stunningly beautiful all around with rolling hills and mountain views. And you're 15-20 mins dive max from literally any beach on the LLyn peninsula, north, south or west. We will definitely be back. Hide
