Property code: OC-BOW200

This stunning penthouse property incorporates the top two floors of a traditional Victorian terrace along Aberystwyth Prom and has been renovated to the highest standard, sleeping four in luxury. It’s ideal for a family or two couples looking to explore this university town. The promenade and beach are directly opposite the house for seaside strolls or you can go back in time at Pen Dinas Hill Iron-Age hillfort or Aberystwyth Castle ruins. Constitution Hill rises 430 feet up from the northern end of the promenade – you can walk up and down or, better yet, take the Aberystwyth Cliff Railway – the longest funicular electric cliff railway in Britain, running since 1896. Culture vultures should check out what’s on at the Arts Centre and National Library of Wales.

Entering the propetry on the second floor, you come into the beautiful, open-plan kitchen, living and dining room which is flooded with light, sleekly decorated with the same bright wood-style flooring throughout. There are some fantastic windows in this property, but the superstar has to be the big bay in the living area. Complete with window seat and cosy armchairs with a commanding view straight out to sea, you could waste hours here. There’s also a sofa, feature stone wall with decorative fireplace and a modern dining table for four. The sleek kitchen takes up one side of the room which means the cook won’t miss out on anything. The spacious king-size bedroom is also on this floor with modern feature radiator and en-suite shower room and WC. Upstairs – on the third floor – the characterful twin room has Velux windows in a sloping ceiling plus a feature stone wall. There’s another walk-in shower room on this floor.

It’s true that this property comes with no outside space or garden but with the sea and beach literally a stone’s throw away, that isn’t such a problem. If you fancy getting further afield, why not beach-hop around Cardigan Bay? Or climb aboard the Vale of Rheidol Railway’s steam train to visit other places between Aberystwyth and Devil’s Bridge further inland.

Well appointed top floor apartment. Located on the sea front, but the promenade is quiet most of the time. Easy walking to the centre of town for shops and restaurants.

Despite the windy, rainy weather, we were able to do and learn many interesting things and afterwards looked forward to the cozy, very well-equipped apartment with its fantastic sea view. The apartment is very well located, quiet and with a private parking.

Such a great apartment. Spotlessly clean, well equipped, super comfy beds and wonderful view! Worth bearing in mind that this is on the top floor, so if steps are a problem that would be an issue. Worth it for the view though!

If you can manage the stairs, this is an excellent location with a great view and the sound of the sea as you sleep. We found the area quiet and safe. Walk along the promenade or into town. Easy access to the Coastal Path. One day, we took the Cliff Railway up and walked along the coastal path to Borth where we caught the train back. The apartment Read morewas very clean and nicely furnished. We had everything we needed to cook full meals. The beds are super comfortable. Having onsight parking was really great, too! The Ship & Castle had a folk session on the Monday night - if you like this kind of music, check there and also the Bank Vault. Ciao Ciao is lovely and quiet. The Bottle and Barrel has a great selection. Hide

We very much enjoyed this apartment. View of the bay and the sound of the waves was amazing. Apartment was very well equiped and the decor was lovely. I liked that the host had set it up well for recyling including kitchen waste. It was obvious that considerable care and planning had gone into making it a very enjoyable and workable accommodationRead more. Location was great for walking the promenade (across the street) and close to bus or train if needed. Beds were good. It was quiet for sleeping although that may not be quite the same if there in high season. Overall very happy with the space and it was as described which is always appreciated. And a lovely welcome basket with Bara Brith, coffee, tea etc! Thank you Hide

Pumlumon apartment was perfect! We had an amazing week. The apartment is in a great location and when we werent out and about exploring the area we were sat in the armchairs by the window watching the stunning seascapes and sunsets. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed, although to be honest we didnt cook because there are some Read moregreat restaurants and cafes nearby. It is thoughtfully and tastefully decorated which makes the apartment feel like home. I dont think I have ever felt so relaxed whilst staying in holiday accommodation. We were sad to leave and we are already missing those views. The apartment, as per the description, is a penthouse apartment on the top two floors of the building, however the stairs werent an issue and did not cause us a problem. Indeed we saw them as an advantage to work off some of the extra calories we had consumed over the week!! We would definitely recommend Pumlumon apartment to anyone who is planning a trip to Aberystwyth. Hide
