Nature is quite literally on your doorstep with this property, which is situated in Snowdonia National Park, close to the town of Dolgellau. Approximately 1.5 miles from the barn you will find Coed y Brenin which is famed for its walking and mountain biking trails, which can be accessed directly from the cottage. This is the perfect spot for families and friends of all abilities. Hire a mountain bike and explore one of the many trails which vary in difficulty and are suitable for both beginners and experts or lace up your hiking boots and choose your trail of choice. You will be in awe when you see the natural wonders around you. For the most pleasurable assault on your senses, be sure to visit Rhaeadr Mawddach and Pistyll Cain waterfalls, and don’t forget to take your camera to capture the breathtaking scenery. The cottage is also perfectly located for serious walkers looking to top the peaks of Snowdonia. But if you’re looking for a more sedate holiday then that’s not a problem because the beaches of Abermaw and Fairbourne are situated approximately 15 miles from the cottage too. If you’re wanting to escape your daily life for a while and simply bathe in nature, this cottage makes the perfect choice.

A tranquil haven in the heart of nature, this cottage is sure to impress any guests that stay. This architecturally designed barn conversion will take your breath away as you enter the open plan living/kitchen/dining area which is flooded with natural daylight from the special glass sloped roof. The sleek lines of the structure combine with warm wooden touches and underfloor heating, to create a welcoming space which serves as a relaxing lounge area, functional kitchen and unique dining space. There’s not many cottages where you can observe the stars whilst sharing a wonderful meal together. There’s 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom which have been decorated with a comfortable and serene style, each with their own en suite bathroom.

There’s a shared garden space outside at this property.

In spite of the wet weather, we had a warm and very comfortable four nights stay. Unfortunately the weather prevented us from doing all we had planned to do, so we will have to return!!

Lovely stay in Stabal Y Gelli and cosy and warm in the wet weather as Storm Ciaran went through. Great to be so close to Coed-Y-Brenin for cycling plus easy to get to the Mawddach Trail. Nice places to eat at Penmaenpool and Barmouth and within reach of Portmerion and Bodnant for sightseeing when it was too wet or windy for cycling or getting into Read morethe mountains. Cottage is well equipped and clean and added bonus of a delicious Bara Brith waiting for us on arrival thanks to the owner. Hide

We found this to be a perfect holiday home, and with such a warm welcome from our hosts. It is set in beautiful gardens and is just off a very convenient road to get to and from Dolgellau and a reasonable drive to lots of other lovely parts of the area, including beaches. Inside the accommodation is top quality, very comfortable and spotlessly cleRead morean. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could need. For eating out there are excellent places in town, a 15 minute drive. There was a loaf of homemade bara brith along with tea and milk to welcome us. I even got the recipe for the bara brith from Gwyneth as it was so delicious and I'm a keen baker. We can't recommend this holiday home enough and hope to return. Hide
