Located on Wales' west coast in the middle of the rugged Ceredigion coastline, Aberystwyth is a wonderfully vibrant seaside town. Visit the historic remains of Aberystwyth Castle or take a walk up Pen Dinas Hill, an Iron Age hillfort with breath-taking views across the surrounding coast. At the northern end of Aberystwyth promenade, rising dramatically from the sea, Constitution Hill offers stunning views of the town, Cardigan Bay, and on a clear day, 26 mountain peaks spanning much of the length of Wales. To reach these spectacular views you can travel by train on the longest funicular electric cliff railway in Britain, which has been transporting visitors to the summit since opening in 1896.

Nice place, if expensive. Seating not too comfortable, shortage of storage space (nowhere but a vegetable rack for food) and under-equipped - why bother having a dishwasher if there's not enough crockery or cutlery to fill it? We found ourselves constantly having to wash up because there was only 3 knives, only 3 side plates etc. Main issues are wRead moreith communications: access info gave code no. but didn't say you have to add hashtag after the digits. Then the cleaner arrived at 10am on Saturday expecting us to have gone, when all the info we'd had said 11am. Also no welcome pack, as described the visitor book. Niggles, but annoying none the less. Code entry is a great idea, though, just need the correct instructions! Hide

We ate at Baravin, lunch at Ultracomida. Glenover is ok for pub grub. Good beer at Bottle and Barrel. Good beer at Chip Box.Train to Devils Bridge is a good day out. Excellent view from flat

Lovely property. Spectacular views, glorious weather!! Thank you so much for the welcome pack. It was much appreciated. Can recommend the Hafad Estate and Llanerchaeron national trust property for walks. Caehir Gardens also worth a visit, lovely little tea room with home baked cakes and soup.

Ideal apartment for a 4 night stay. Welcome pack appreciated. Little Italian was very good. Devils Bridge worth a visit and also the railway up to Constitution Hill.

One of the best appointed and comfortable self-catering accommodations we have stayed in. Great location. The owner has dressed the cottage beautifully and we felt very at home. Amazing view from the bay window.

Enjoyed some fantastic sunsets from the comfort of the apartment as well as watching the waves roll up the beach. The apartment is very well fitted out and comfortable. We managed to park virtually outside on the seafront by parking strategically. Particularly enjoyed the are to the North of Aberystwyth where you can see the remains of the submergeRead mored forest at low tide and then do a circular walk to the Ynyslas nature reserve and back through the peat bog taking in the far reaching coastal views and the views to the mountains. Tanybwlch beach and nature reserve on the other side of the marina in Aberystwyth is in walking distance and well worth a few hours exploration. Also the national library of Wales up on the hill. It is a very impressive building and has some interesting exhibitions. So much to see. Will have to return. Hide

Hyddgen apartment was absolutely lovely. So clean and well equipped. Would love to come back. Lovely decor and views and the welcome pack was a nice touch. Drove to Aberporth, Tresaith and Cardigan. Well worth the visit. Parking at the back in the park park was a great tip left from other visitors. Diolch!

Beautiful and well equipped apartment in a location providing spectacular views. Thank you for the welcome pack. It got us off to a great start. A really nice gesture. Each evening we were mesmerised by the glowing sunsets. We dined in Saphan Thai, Mamma Fays and Antala. Coffee in Medina is not to be missed and the polish apple cake was a firm favRead moreourite. My husband enjoyed our visits to Kanes Bottle and Barrel and the Bank Vaults. Friendly staff and excellent ales. Day trip to New Quay terrific. Highlight of our stay has to be whilst eating breakfast, two dolphins appeared in the bay opposite our window, magical. Thank you Hide

We have enjoyed the flat. Everything is good quality and works well. It is a treat to sit looking out to the sea. Accomodation gets top marks. Visited Harlech Castle and Port Merion. Excellent lunch at the Harbour Master Aberaeron which is a lovely little town
