Blending style and tradition, this superior riverside mill dates back to the 1800s and is nestled near the rural village of Chirbury in South Shropshire. This part of South Shropshire is a hidden gem with awe-inspiring countryside, medieval castles and an array of wonderful towns and villages to visit. The nearby Montgomery (4 miles) is worth a visit to explore its castle and great food and drink options with renowned restaurants and a brewery based in the town. Offa’s Dyke walking trail passes through Montgomery and will allow you to enjoy the rolling hills of Shropshire and Powys, whilst discovering Iron Age hillforts and enticing country pubs. Shrewsbury is 20 miles away, where you can enjoy riverside walks, independent shops or simply enjoy visiting one of the 600 listed buildings that occupy this historic town.

After a busy day exploring all that the area has to offer, make your way back to your peaceful rural retreat. Head into the property, kick off your walking boots and take off your jackets as you enter the hallway from the porch. On either side of the hall are two separate lounges. The first has extensive comfy sofa seating and a Smart TV, the perfect space to kick back and enjoy your favourite movie. The second is an elegant but cosy lounge complete with a wood burner, a great space to relax with a good book and a glass of wine. Continue through into the fabulous kitchen/diner which is fully equipped with everything you will need for a self-catered break with family and friends. This room is a real highlight of the property and is perfect for enjoying a meal together while taking in the stunning views. Just off the kitchen is the utility room and a downstairs WC. Head up to the first floor where you will find four bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room, and the family bathroom. The fifth bedroom is up on the next level with an en-suite. The owners have created a fantastic rural escape finished to a luxurious standard throughout.

The outside space is a wonderful area to relax or dine alfresco and there is a fantastic hot tub to enjoy whilst enjoying the countryside views. There are stunning walks from the garden, which the River Camlad winds through, with a beautiful wooden bridge to cross it.

We had a truly fantastic holiday at Marrington Mill. We are two families that holiday together frequently and we all agreed it's hard to beat such an amazing cottage and idyllic location! The layout of the cottage was just perfect - having two lounges was ideal, the bedrooms and bathrooms are good sizes and the large kitchen and dining area worked Read morereally well. Our kids (aged 16, 13 and 12) also loved it and spent a LOT of time in the hot tub! The gardens and the view are so beautiful and we really enjoyed the secluded location. Having direct access onto footpaths was brilliant and we did numerous walks from the cottage - appreciating that we didn't need to take the car out to do so. Having an EV charging point was also a real plus for us! Thank you for creating such a wonderful holiday home in a beautiful setting, we would love to return to Marrington Mill in the future Hide

We really enjoyed our stay at The Mill, a fabulous and magical place, the setting looked like Narnia in the frost when we arrived. Perfect in every way. We will be coming back!

Our stay at Marrington Mill really couldnt have been more perfect. The location is stunning and the property is beautiful and kitted out to a really high standard. Well definitely be back! Our only issue was the signposting on the small circular walk wasnt clear but it made for a lot of laughter when we were completely lost!
