Stay in this beautiful cottage and you'll really appreciate the cosy features and the separate dining room and how well positioned it is for exploring the Brecon Beacons, as well as the Welsh Borders.
Set on an ancient Medieval farmstead, looking out towards the Black Mountains, there are endless walking trails and cycle rides within easy reach, as well as helpful bike hire companies that will deliver to the door. Those who prefer to paddle on the water will enjoy the close proximity to the River Wye, which ambles past a few fields below, pack a picnic on a summer day and head to the "beaches" outside both Hay and Glasbury for a paddle and spot of duck feeding, or pop up to the River Cafe deli for a friendly lunch and rent a canoe next door whilst you're there.
When you've run out of energy, then Hay on Wye is your nearest town and a Sugar & Loaf favourite, with famous annual book festival each May and filled with book, antique and independent stores all year round, as well as a generous number of good eateries and pet friendly pubs, it's a great place to be close to.
Part of a restored Georgian stable block, this cottage has been thoughtfully and sensitively converted to maximise privacy and comfort...long gone is the hay and straw! There is a well fenced garden to both the front and the rear of the cottage, with BBQ and outdoor furniture available in summer months, and it's perfect for pets all year round....they'll love lazing in front of the wood burning stove!
Step inside the open plan living space to the Shaker style kitchen and breakfast bar. The large bookshelf hides one of two sofas, facing the wood burning stove (first basket of logs included) and Smart TV and DVD player for lazier days. This cosy seating area flows through to the bright and airy dining room.
Under the stairs you will find the downstairs loo, kitted out with laundry facilities and upstairs find the king-size master bedroom, a twin room and family bathroom.
