Entering the lodge via a shallow ramp and the French doors, you will find the spacious, airy and inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The cosy lounge offers superb woodland views and is an ideal space for curling up on the sofa, chatting into the night or for enjoying a favourite movie. There’s ample space in the dining area for sharing a delicious family meal which you can rustle up in the stylishly designed and fully equipped kitchen. Exploring this delightful property further, there are three bedrooms decorated in bright, relaxing tones: a double; a twin which can be made into a king-size; and a further twin with low sloping ceilings. There’s also a family shower room. Accessed from the kitchen, the veranda offers fantastic woodland views – where you may spot foxes and badgers – with a choice of outdoor furniture, providing a fantastic area for al fresco drinks or a BBQ on a sunny afternoon.
Canoeing and fishing can be arranged on-site, and there are plenty of wonderful walks from the doorstep, with opportunities to spot a range of wildlife and take in some stunning views across the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains. Hay-on-Wye (0.5 miles) has plenty to discover including some fantastic pubs, restaurants, art galleries and its famous second-hand bookshops.
