This unique property provides an unforgettable setting for a magical rural getaway. Set amongst rolling hills and woodlands, the tranquil retreat will leave you feeling fully rested and refreshed. Surrounded by the owner’s animal sanctuary, you’ll be treated to sightings of exotic animals in the nearby fields. The holiday cottage income directly funds the Owner's Exotic Rescue centre. The picturesque market town of Ross-on-Wye is 3 miles away and you’re also within easy reach of both the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean.

The luxurious accommodation in this 17th-century rural hideaway is wonderfully unique and beautiful. An eclectic mix of reclaimed treasures give the property bags of character, and the hand-carved four-poster bed is a real statement piece. Every little detail has been cleverly considered, to ensure your stay is as memorable as possible. Curl up in the armchair in front of the wood burner or recline on the day bed with a book and take in the exquisite views. Wander outside from the first-floor living area and onto the gorgeous glass-fronted balcony, where you’ll find sun loungers and outdoor furniture where you can sit and soak up the scenery. Steps lead from the balcony down to your own private grassed garden. You are also free to explore the shared gardens and woodlands and take a dip in the outdoor pool which is solar heated during July and August.

Beautiful Ross-on-Wye is a delight. Enjoy a romantic stroll around its pretty streets and historic buildings, before pottering through the town gardens and listening to live music at the bandstand. You’ll also discover a fantastic selection of independent boutiques and eateries. For iconic Wye Valley views, you must take a walk at Symonds Yat Rock (7 miles). The ancient hill fort has truly breathtaking views and there are several waymarked trails linking to the River Wye. It’s also a great place for bird spotting, with peregrine falcons often seen soaring overhead.
