From the roaring fire to the countryside views, this delectable cottage offers a back-to-basics stay in rural Wales. Located on an organic farm, this property offers the perfect chance to get back to nature and embrace the good life. The owners of this property are passionate about sustainability, and whilst on holiday, you can learn all about farm life and eco-living. Youngsters can help out on the farm and learn all about the grazing cattle, whilst the adults of your group will no doubt adore fresh produce that’s farmed (quite literally) on your doorstep. You’re even welcome to bring along your own horses, perfect for exploring the Brecon Beacons with canine company or on horseback!

This charming cottage boasts a traditional farmhouse style with original oak beams and floral soft furnishings in each room. The lounge is a truly wonderful place to relax. Enjoy far-reaching views or a breath of fresh air when throwing open the French doors or make use of the wood burner throughout the colder months. Very much a family-friendly property, you’ll find a selection of puzzles and games for those evenings where you’d prefer to keep the TV off. You’ll also find a nursery upstairs, ideal for those with young children. Completing the property is a generous garden with furniture, BBQ and outdoor play area.

Head out to explore the area on foot, by bike or even with your very own horse leading the way. Follow a disused railway line around Crai Reservoir (2 miles) or venture a little further to Usk Reservoir (10 miles) for paddleboarding or canoeing. Keep the kids awake for a late-night stargazing expedition as both of these reservoirs are known to be excellent Dark Sky spots. Or head out in the daytime for a trip to the thrilling National Showcaves Centre for Wales (8.5 miles), an ever-popular Welsh tourist attraction.
