Sleeping eight guests across five bedrooms, you’ll soon be swapping your daily routine for opulent dining and socialising with exciting outdoor adventures to boot. Based 0.5 miles from Grosmont, there are castles to explore as well as several options for sampling delicious local fare and handcrafted delights.

Antiques, oil paintings and elaborate carved door heads welcome you on arrival, inviting you to kick off your shoes and open the champagne. Marvel at the patterned tiles, exposed stone and wooden beams that feature throughout, appreciating quirky details such as a roll-top slipper bath, a slightly uneven set of spiral stairs, and a bedroom set in the eaves of the house complete with a Nespresso machine. The youngest of guests have a playroom to amuse themselves in, and with the added bonus of a games room, outdoor mini croquet and a fire pit for toasting marshmallows, everyone is in for a treat. The decadent kitchen has a contemporary vibe with everything you need for big celebratory meals.

Grosmont is studded close to the border of England and Wales, providing the best of both worlds when it comes to your explorations. Stroll through the narrow streets of Abergavenny 12.5 miles away with frequent stops for coffee, or venture into Ross-on-Wye 15.5 miles away to bask in the charm of one of the UK’s most beloved market towns. For history buffs, you’ll be drawn to the crumbling ruins of Grosmont Castle on the edge of town as well as the spellbinding sights of White Castle 7 miles away and Skenfrith Castle 5 miles away, three majestic castles that once formed a defensive stronghold in the area.

The Town Farm house is beautiful both because it is located in the stunning Brecon Beacons and because the house itself is steeped in history and has been updated to enhance its age and comfort. We were an extended family and enjoyed the variety of bedrooms and the fabulous baths! The village has a great pub, a beautiful church and a historic ruineRead mored castle on the doorstep. The walks further afield are stunning. Highly recommended. Hide
