Overall this is a lovely house with all of the appliances needed for a comfortable stay including an airfryer, 2 fridges, separate freezer, washer, dryer and so on. Lots of seats in the lounge and ample seating at the dining table to accommodate 8 guests. Use of the log burner was especially nice with the first bag of logs free. Parts of the hRead moreouse would benefit from a little tlc in places but it doesnt affect your overall stay, just personal preferences I suppose. I did take our own towels although there are towels provided along with a toilet roll in each toilet. There is no hairdryer in any of the rooms. We had a really lovely stay here and it was a nice bonus having the farm shop next door with a nice surprise 15 voucher and some farm shop welcome bits in the house when we arrived - Hugh and his staff are lovely and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. A lovely home and spacious and comfortable for our party of 6, including 2 children. Hugh and his family, who run the great Farm Shop adjacent to the property are friendly and helpful and it was a pleasure to get to know them during our stay last week and to enjoy the wonderful food from their Farm Shop.

The property was built to a high standard is spacious and well equipped and furnished with plenty of room outside for parking. There is plenty of room to exercise dogs, but this is not secure, our escapologist working cocker spaniel could get through to the house beyond the hedge (and we could too to retrieve her once we realised how she got out).Read more The house itself could be perfect but it is hidden behind a gate from the shop parking area with shop storage and rusty old sheds at the rear and is now in need of maintenance and would benefit from improved housekeeping. The online information gives you a false impression ("set in the coastal village" "set just half a mile outside") of the location. You aren't in the village at all which is at least a mile and half to the centre and beach. You can't walk at all direct from the house as you are on a busy A road with no footpath and a very narrow grass verge. The shop next door is excellent however and the discounts were regularly used. The help of the staff in locating our little escapist was greatly appreciated. There is easy road access to Tenby, Saundersfoot, other beaches, walks and places of interest. Hide

We spent a great week at Oaktree house in a great location. The house was fantastic and the outside area was ideal for all of us and the dogs. The four seasons farm shop is unbelievable and well worth the numerous visits we made. Our stay spacious and convenient, with room for improvement We enjoyed our time here overall and wanted to share a few observations to help future guests. A number of reviews mention the location and concerns about walking access. We found this to be much easier than expected several of our group walked into Saundersfoot and Tenby with boRead moreth a baby and a dog. While you do briefly join a busier road, this stretch is less than 4 minutes long and has a wide grass verge alongside, so we always felt safe. It is also worth mentioning that there is no barbecue available. While this is not stated in the written listing, it does appear in two of the property photographs, so guests may wish to be aware. As a large group of adults, we particularly appreciated that most beds were doubles this was a real plus. It is worth noting, however, that all beds have footboards, so taller guests (over 6ft) may find them a little restrictive. The property itself is spacious and offers plenty of seating both indoors and out, plus it is very well equipped with a full set of crockery, glasses and cooking equipment. We were also very grateful that when we contacted the owner to request a travel cot, he responded quickly and was extremely helpful thank you again for that. That said, the property is starting to look a little tired and would benefit from some general maintenance and care: - Some kitchen drawers are broken or have loose handles - The headboards in the single bedrooms are freestanding rather than fixed securely - While cleanliness was generally adequate, we did spot mould inside the washing machine drum, and the tumble dryer filters were very full these should be cleaned regularly to avoid fire risk - We found leftover Christmas decorations under the lounge sofa and loose socks under the sofa - We could see accumulated rubbish in the rear outdoor area, which is not accessible but visible from the windows - There is a sharp, broken slab/slate on the patio unfortunately this cut one of our dogs, and it could easily injure children or anyone walking barefoot - One garden chair and one stool are broken and unsafe to use Overall, this is a great-sized property with lots of space and a practical layout. With a little attention to repairs and general upkeep, it could be a really fantastic place to stay. Hide

We stayed here from the 7th to the 14th of march 2026, the cottage is well presented, clean and tidy. The cottage is very warm, the underfloor heating is great . Log burner is amazing.. we really made the most of it on the stormy nights. Its a really good base to explore local area . The only thing we didnt realise, you cant walk to the beach from the cottage or any where, to be honest as its on a very busy road . So if you book the cottage you will need to use your car every day . Saying that I would recommend the cottage .. its got a fab feel and the layout is great, we had two large dogs that where made to feel very welcome, and the garden patio area is very secure when the gates are closed .. owners were attentive and helpful if contacted.. we had a lovely break .
