Escape with your loved one to this magical Welsh retreat near Brynygwenin, 3 miles from Abergavenny. Sleeping just two people, the enchanting, one-bedroom cottage, which is set close to the fringes of the Brecon Beacons, is perfect for a couple seeking to get away from it all. Gaze out across spectacular, undulating countryside from inside and out. Head out on long walks or cycle rides from your base and enjoy trips into vibrant Abergavenny to shop for fresh, local produce and to dine out together when you don’t feel like cooking at home.

Tear yourselves away from your stunning surroundings to enter this truly special, stone holiday home. Make yourselves comfortable in the lounge, where you can continue to gaze out at the hills, or you can relax in front of a good film on the large 40 inch Smart TV. Head into the kitchen to make a pot of tea to enjoy with a welsh cake from a bakery in town or start thinking about preparing a delicious dinner for two. Climb the stairs at the end of each wonderful day to lay your heads in the double bedroom, with its en-suite shower room. Wake up to glorious views and perhaps decide to take breakfast out in the sunshine on the patio. Enjoy the serenity as well as the scenery as you plan your day’s activities. Find plenty of parking at the cottage.

Enjoy a 5-mile drive or 3-mile walk across the countryside to White Castle, an impressive, medieval fortress. Grosmont Castle, 8 miles away, and Skenfrith Castle, 10 miles away are also worth seeing. Follow a 19-mile, circular route, which takes in all three. Climb the Sugar Loaf Mountain, about 6 miles’ drive or a 4-mile walk from your base. Go canoeing in Abergavenny and visit the town’s museum.
