  • Contemporary detached cedar-clad lodge with spacious accommodation and stylish interiors
  • Idyllic setting in natural landscape with a plethora of wildlife, horses, birds and stunning valley views
  • On the edge of the Victorian spa town Llandrindod Wells with 30 natural springs, 18 hole golf course and picturesque lake
Property code: OC-53193

Contemporary décor and chic touches make this cedar-clad lodge an utterly charming abode in which to while away your days, nestled amongst rolling emerald hills and idyllic, picturesque lakes. The gravel path leads you around to the front of the property and the pretty patio area, where the bi-fold doors and large windows offer a glimpse of the beautiful interior that awaits you.

Stunningly spacious with intricate attention to detail and a light yet cosy ambience, you will love stepping inside this wonderful single-storey lodge, where the stylish décor in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner perfectly sets the tone for the property. The bi-fold doors allow the room to be flooded with light, as the dining table takes pride of place so that you can enjoy tucking into a delicious supper whilst soaking up the breath-taking views across the countryside. The doors and dining furniture itself are meticulously crafted from locally grown Douglas fir and ash, so you are assured the finest quality finish, and you’re guaranteed the cosy sensation of underfloor heating throughout, so you’ll never need to worry about cold toes!

2 large sofas with sumptuous cushions offers the perfect spot to rest weary feet and heads, where you can cuddle up with the warmth of the elegant wood burner to keep toasty on cooler evenings. Whether you choose to wind down watching the wildlife outside, or find your favourite film, you’ll certainly feel relaxed in your beautiful surroundings.

The kitchen area is traditional and compact with subtle tones, and is well-equipped for you to demonstrate your culinary skills using the local Welsh goodies you can find during your stay. Make use of the gas oven to whip up a storm, store some delicious wines and cheeses in the fridge, which has an ice compartment, for the evening and don’t panic about cleaning up, as there's an integrated dishwasher so you won't have to worry about rinsing the plates either!

Either side of the open-plan living area are two exquisite bedrooms. The stunning whitewashed wood panelling and spacious layout of the first bedroom creates a relaxing room, in which the tranquillity will lull you into a deep slumber under the soft linen and plush pillows of your super-king-size bed. The cleverly concealed shower room is accessed to the rear of the bed, where you can switch on the shower and be soothed by the spring fed, filtered warming waters.

Toiletries provided including shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are friendly to the bio-digestive system on site. The owner purchases these from a Welsh company called Myddfai who employ people with SENs and use natural ingredients in their products.

At the other end of the lodge, you will find the second bedroom; this light and airy twin room echoes a similar layout to that of the first bedroom, with two single beds adorned with soft, plump cushions and covers to sink into and rest weary heads after a long day of exploring. The stylish en-suite shower room is a beautiful space where you can truly unwind.

Stepping outside, the rolling emerald countryside enveloping you is awe-inspiring, offering the most serene of environments to sit and watch the sunset and listen to the wildlife all around. Take a seat on the patio to sip a morning coffee in the sunshine, or head to the sunken fire pit of an evening to cosy up, share stories and make memories with friends or family over a glass of bubbly, also you can find an "enclosed" area in the garden for your four legged friend.

We had an amazing holiday, loved the peaceful location and the opportunity for wildlife spotting on the doorstep. We're vegan and Nicky made sure our welcome pack contained oatmilk etc, which was very thoughtful.
