Originally a terrace of traditional quarrymen’s cottages, this home has been refurbished and is well-designed and comfortable; a spacious retreat for 10 guests to enjoy time together. Families, couples and friends will love the location at the base of a mountain in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Head out for wonderful scenic walks, right from the doorstep of this lovingly converted family home. Inside, you’ll be treated to traditional features and spacious rooms. The large, well-equipped kitchen/diner is perfect for cooking, socialising and dining together. Afterwards, the younger members of the group can head through to the playroom with pool and table tennis table, plenty of games and toys, as well as a TV and games console. The five bedrooms (two of which have en-suite facilities) and family bathroom are upstairs. Feast on a BBQ on the sunny terrace at the front of the cottage while taking in the views towards Sugar Loaf Mountain and the Black Mountains. At the back of the property is a large lawned garden with a play area for children, and a further enclosed walled terrace.

Llangattock Mountain, The Blorenge and The Black Mountains are all within easy reach of the home. Leave the cars behind and head out on some spectacular walking and cycling routes. Just 3 miles down the road is Crickhowell, a quintessential Welsh village with some independent shops, restaurants and coffee shops. From here, you can access the delightful River Usk towpath or take the Crug Hywel (Table Mountain) walk. The Brecon Beacons is packed with things to see and do such as rock climbing at Llangorse Activity Centre (12 miles), paddle boarding at Llangorse Lake (13 miles), or discover the area’s history at Tretower Court and Castle (5.5 miles).

Lovely, well equipped, comfortable house - one of the best we have ever stayed in. Stunning views. We had a wonderful stay with friends and there is lots to enjoy and do in the surrounding area. Just beware of the route up to the property which is a narrow, steep road and can involve some tricky reversing if you meet another vehicle!

We spent a wonderful week at Whitewalls. The cottage was very clean and comfortable for all 10 of us. Garden was a bonus for the dogs and children. Views spectacular with some great sunsets and sunrises over the mountains. Would recommend to anyone visiting this part of Wales.

Lovely, spacious, well-equipped house for our family, 6 adults and 2 children (7&4). Wonderful garden and toys for the children and outdoor dining and a fabulous view enjoyed by all. We loved the Welsh blankets, comfy beds and local wildlife - tawny owls and red kites

It was only a short stay - 1 night, but the cottage had everything we needed and more. Wish we could have stayed longer!

It was a dream Holiday for our family. We all enjoyed the spacious and clean cottage on the mountain top, with the beautiful garden outside. The magnificent view of the overlooking mountains, together with the sheep roaming around, gave us the feeling as if we were in Switzerland!
