A gorgeous detached property 1 mile from Dolgellau, one of many historic market towns found across Snowdonia National Park. Featuring a comfortable lounge, a spacious kitchen/diner and an enclosed garden with unparalleled countryside views, this dog-friendly property is perfect for a family or group of friends seeking stylish accommodation during an active holiday.

This contemporarily-styled property sits in a quiet location near the village of Llanelltyd and is surrounded by wooded hills that peer down towards the River Mawddach. Its bright and airy rooms glow in natural sunlight throughout the year, with comfortable soft furnishings at every turn. The underfloor heating on the ground floor will come into its own during colder months, while the far-reaching views of the area through floor to ceiling windows are a real feast for the senses. It will be hard to leave the warm embrace of the lounge at any time of day, especially when the wood burner is roaring, but a good excuse will be a meal prepared and served in the vast kitchen/diner. This is a real social space where everyone can come together in comfort. Upstairs, an en-suite double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a second double bedroom all enjoy fantastic views and promise a restful night’s sleep. A stylish bathroom, perfect for long, restful soaks, stands nearby. The balcony beyond the ground floor living areas is the perfect spot for a morning coffee, while the garden around the other side awaits BBQ suppers.

There is plenty to keep groups occupied in the local area. Llanelltyd is just 1 mile from the historic town of Dolgellau, home to dog- and family-friendly pubs, as well as the starting point to the Mawddach Trail. Coed-y-Brenin Forest Park, with its endless walks, and Barmouth, with its beach and harbour, are both within 11 miles.

We had a fantastic stay here at May half term. The heatwave meant we stayed in more than wed planned, but what a view from the balcony! The house is beautiful and spacious enough for 6. Stunning views, only slightly masked by the trees directly in front. If possible, it would be great if they could be trimmed down, but I appreciate this may not be possible.

Overall this is a lovely cottage, tastefully designed and finished to high standard. The kitchen is well equipped. Beds are comfy. The heated cloth drying rack is a really considerate touch.
