Cute as a button and cosy as can be, this rustic cabin is ideal for a romantic couples’ escape in the heart of Pembrokeshire. Set on the owner’s smallholding amid tranquil countryside, earth mothers and nature lovers will adore the resident sheep and donkeys in the surrounding fields, and red kites gliding overhead. After adventurous days rambling through stunning countryside and strolling along golden beaches, returning here is a delight, whether to star gaze in the garden with a bottle of wine or snuggle on the sofa to watch a film.

Handmade by the owner’s family using larch wood, this magical abode is beautifully decorated with a dusting of elegance throughout. Wander along a lit, gravelled path and climb a few steps to the small, covered porch, which is ideal for sitting out on a drizzly day, with raindrops pattering overhead. Rustle up romantic suppers in the kitchen and enjoy a meal for two, or fire up the BBQ to dine outside. Then cosy up on the sofa to watch your favourite TV shows or sit by the doors and delve into your current read. When it’s time to rest your head, take a refreshing rinse in the shower room, then curl up in the double bed to drift off to sleep.

Take a trip back in time at nearby Carew Castle and Tidal Mill to explore the castle grounds, keeping your eyes peeled for the brilliant birdlife in the surrounding countryside. Cresswell Quay (2 miles) is a picturesque hamlet that’s great for a stroll, or you can browse independent boutiques and antiques shops in the lovely market town of Narberth (8.5 miles). For a day at the beach, head to the charming seaside resort of Saundersfoot (5.5 miles).

This is a longer review but worth reading until the end. You are offered a small camping trolley to help move your stuff from the car to the hut. The path to the hut was marked by a loose stone path which is nice but the cart has solid tyres and its slightly up hill and winding so its a little tough to pull the trolley. At the main entrance Read moreto the wooded hut, was an outside table and chairs, great for having some food surrounded by trees, a field with varied animals wondering around behind a fence. The advert did state there was a BBQ but we could not find it. One of the double glazed doors to the main room stuck on the landing floor so could not be opened fully and the other one once opened could not be closed without some difficulty by lifting the door up to get it back into place. The main room was OK, it had an oven, microwave, fridge / freezer, table, chairs plus a TV and sofa, all in good working order for all your daily needs. Moving to the bedroom it contained a double bed but there was only just had enough room to move sideways around the room. The bed had a solid wooden foot area which protruded up and we continually banged our legs on it seeing as there was little room around the bed. The mattress for us was not to our liking and it looked like it was in need a swapping out as it had sagged. Two pillows per person were in place, shame they were the same thickness as it did not give you a choice of thick / thin or a mixture. The on-suite toilet and shower is what I would call very small. If you are of the larger persuasion then you might have difficulties showering with ease in this very small shower cubicle. The other problem is the shower and bedroom is so small that we had to get dry / changed in the main room. I would say this is OK for a weekend or just for a few days as you have to live out of your suitcase as we could not find any room to store clothes. There are some hangers in the living room for hanging possibly a couple of items. We stayed in the heatwave and it would have been nice to have a portable fan in the room, non was offered. Overall a location to stay but the hut, in my opinion, needs some TLC to get it back up to its full potential. Hide

To see the 2 big sheep along with the 3 goats and 3 donkey's in the field right next to us was great. Then we fed them carrots and apples was again great. The owners lived close by and they were nice people. We had a lovely time. Thank you.

Loved our stay at The Bray. Sue & Chris are such wonderful people, and made our stay just that little bit more memorable. The cabin is cosy, clean and well equipped. The welcome touches were a pleasant surprise! Perfect spot for a rest within nature. Loved meeting all the farm animals too. Especially Paddy, Percy and little Hattie. Thank you

This place was amazing very peaceful and isolated which is exactly what we wanted, Sue was extremely helpful and obliging and made every effort to make our stay enjoyable, the animals were a pleasant site and enjoyed the carrots we gave them. Thanks for a memorable holiday

Loved this peaceful location, very restful. Had a great week, enjoyed the donkeys, sheep and geese. Close enough to Tenby, also enjoyed Narberth, Bosherton Lily ponds, & Cresswell Quay. Lovely friendly hosts

Lovely hosts and great location. If you are looking for tranquility then this is perfect. Away from the normal busy lifestyle and loved listening to the birds and the 3 lovely donkeys that came to see you is an added bonus. Enjoyed our stay very much and would go again.

Nicely set back on a farm in bucolic seclusion, not far from Cresselly Quay and Carew Castle & tidal mill, this lovely wooden caravan-style home is ideal for a getaway for a couple. There's everything you might need and more provided like towels, even a hot water bottle. The only immediate neighbours are sheep and donkeys, So quiet. With a clear skRead morey, stars galore at night. Great as a base for coastal visits like Tenby and closer Amroth beach & cliffs. Supermarkets: Pembroke Dock 25min. Hide
