Set the table in the lounge/diner and, on warm evenings, open the doors onto the terrace to allow a fresh breeze in. Tear yourselves away from the far-reaching, countryside views to settle on the comfortable seating for the evening in front of a good film on TV. A wet room is also at this level. When bedtime beckons, climb the stairs to the bathroom to run yourself a hot bubble bath and then lay your head in the double bedroom. Take breakfast out on the terrace on fine days. While away your afternoons in Bala, shopping for local produce and pausing in cafes and pubs. Play golf here or embark upon a 14-mile walk that will take you right around the lake. Journey along the southern shore on the narrow-gauge Bala Lake Railway. Or, enjoy long forest walks at Aberhirnant, 3.5 miles from the cottage.
