Property code: OC-83950

Make your romantic retreat to this exquisite stone cottage for two, in countryside surroundings near Maenan, 9 miles from Conwy in North Wales. Overlooking the Conwy Valley, the one-bedroom barn conversion, which also welcomes one dog, nestles on a working farm of 200 acres close to the Snowdonia National Park. Relax together in comfort at the beautifully finished, rural holiday home and soak in your private hot tub after time away exploring.

Stroll into the detached barn to find a warm welcome. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is ideal for relaxing in together after your long days out. Prepare delicious dinners for two in the kitchen area with the fresh, local, Welsh produce you have shopped for in nearby towns and villages then dine together at the table. Take a bottle of wine over to the lounge area then unwind in comfort as you find a film on the Smart TV to watch in the evening. Climb the stairs to your king-size bedroom, which features an exquisite slipper bath and an en-suite shower room. Soak up the sunshine out in the enclosed garden; light the BBQ so you can cook supper out in the fresh air and take a glass of something cool and bubbly over to the hot tub to enjoy as it heats up (hot tub towels are provided). Stroll out across the grounds as often as you choose. You’ll find storage for cycles and other outdoor equipment, and there is parking at the barn for two cars.

Lace up your walking boots and head 2 miles to see the Cadair Ifan Goch, a striking rock feature with commanding views. Head the other direction, into Snowdonia, for walks, footpaths and cycle rides. Or, drive into Conwy to see the castle and venture 13.5 miles to the coast for a day trip Llandudno.

Cottage itself was lovely, with plenty of walks to do with your dogs. On the topic of dogs, they are not allowed upstairs, as my dog sleeps in my room we had a couple of sleepless nights as it is not mentioned on the overview, only in the welcome pack when you arrive. Garden was good but slightly over looked when passing to get to the cottage neRead morextdoor, mainly where the hot tub is. The cottage is also in the middle of untidy farm yard. Pleasant stay but felt slightly mislead.

Holiday Cottages response - Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.

Please note that our pet rules are clearly outlined in Section 7 of the booking terms and conditions, which guests are asked to review prior to confirming their stay.

Were sorry that you felt the garden was slightly overlooked. However, we believe this is not the case, as the two properties on site have gardens that face in opposite directions. As reflected in previous guest reviews, the property is set within beautiful surroundings and offers a peaceful environment.

We appreciate all feedback and hope this clarifies these points for future guests.

Beautiful cottage. Everything you need and nothing you dont for a wonderful, relaxing stay. Sitting in the hot tub watching the martins feed each evening was lovely. Some great dog walks right from the front door. The location is great for getting around the area, trips to Snowdon, Llandudno and Wrexham were really easy.
