Gaze out across the river from this truly special couple’s retreat in Aberaeron, West Wales. Enjoy breakfast out on the balcony on sunny mornings as you listen to the water flowing by and look out for wildlife. Up to two guests are welcome to stay at this one-bedroom, waterside holiday home that enjoys a courtyard garden as well as a beautiful balcony. Discover the attractive town as you wander around on foot; swim in the sea and lounge about on the sand at the beach and even take to the water in your own canoe on the River Aeron.

 

Make your way through the walled garden to the front of the single-storey abode and step in to find yourselves in the lounge/diner. Settle on the comfortable seating in here to watch the TV, with NOW TV and Sky Movies, wander into the kitchen to rustle up a romantic meal then dine together at the table. Take a glass of chilled wine or a fresh cup of coffee out to the balcony. As night falls, indulge in a warm shower then head to the inviting double bedroom. Light the BBQ out in the front garden on warm evenings. Find storage for bikes, kayaks and other outdoor gear on site.

 

Enjoy the proximity of so many enticing shops, boutiques and eateries in Aberaeron itself. Drive 7.5 miles along the coast to New Quay to take part in a range of water sports, book seats on a dolphin-watching cruise or visit the beach. Plan a day out in Aberystwyth, 16 miles away, for even more shops and restaurants. Wander along the promenade and step out on the older pier in Wales. See Pen Dinas Hill, an Iron Age hillfort, and Aberystwyth Castle.

As we have been to this apartment before and had a lovely holiday , this time was somewhat disappointing. We thought that the outside shelter with 2 easy chairs was a great idea until we discovered pigeons were nesting in there and creating noise and droppings. In fact it deterred us from earing outside. Generally we found the apartment a little tiRead morered compared to our visit a few years ago. For us in our mid to late seventies the tv was much too complex. In the kitchen clearly some equipment needed replacement. The inside of the kettle for instance was rusty. The lock on the door to the juliet balcony was very difficult to operate, at one stage we opened it with a lot of effort and then found it difficult to lock. Great location on river, and attractive outside space for sitting out. Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and coastal path. We know Aberaeron very well and visit regularly and would gladly return.

Excellent location and easy access and all on one level which good if you are not able to get about, you can watch the world go by from the window in the lounge. Nice walks recommend the walk to the National Trust house Llanerchaeron.

Property is in a good location with great outside areas. A stones throw from the town but the cottage was quiet and relaxing. Easy to get to other areas locally by bus. A great restaurant nearby The Stubborn Pig would I would highly recommend. Would definitely recommend this property as a good place to stay.

What a lovely surprise. Beautiful apartment. Saw a heron fishing in the river most evenings. Lovely to sit on the balcony for breakfast and supper. Very romantic and peaceful. Definitely come back soon. Thank you.

A fabulous property, lovely balcony at the back over looking the river and patio area at front. It was ideally situated just a short walk to all you need including two drinking establishments - 110 steps to the one to be precise

Cottage was amazing! Attention to detail was second to none. Felt very comfortable and relaxed. Was so well thought out by vendors. We had everything we could possibly need. being on the river was very relaxing.

A really cosy, well equipped holiday home! Loved the balcony over the river - perfect for a G & T on a sunny evening! A peaceful spot, yet so close to shops and restaurants. The river walk was lovely. A few problems finding nearby parking, but, fortunately, the weather was fine so walking from the car park was ok.
