Ideal situation. Just off quiet street, overlooking greenery even though the actual property outdoor area is paved. Felt private despite being near another house as there was good fencing and hedging. Short walk into Aberaeron, which has a very good mix of shops, pubs, cafes, etc. around its attractive harbour. Very convenient for driving to all CeRead moreredigion coastal locations, inland to places like Lampeter and Devils Bridge, and to the towns of Aberystwyth and Cardigan. Outdoor environment is peaceful but, because the lodge is open plan, light sleepers may hear the fridge, freezer, boiler and hot tub intermittently through the night. Kitchen is well stocked (with appliance instructions in the boiler cupboard). Recommend taking some coat hangers and, if desired, a storage box as there is no storage space for clothes or other personal effects. There is a clothes rail in the living area. Unfortunately, my stay coincided with the heatwave so I found the lodge too warm on hot, humid nights but the early part of the week, with more normal June temperatures, was fine and it was nice to have the private area for sitting outside. I also used my own cotton sleeping bag liner, which was cooler than the polyester sheets and duvet cover. Good parking space beside the lodge or, if preferred, in the street below. Friendly owner who sorted a couple of requests shortly after arrival. Hide

It's not what I would call a lodge, it's a purpose built space which seems to have been built in the garden of Islwyn house. It's all open area and therefore no door to the bedroom.

On arrival was disappointed at location of cottage tucked behind house. Hot tub had no cover from rain. No toilet paper so had to go and find shop to buy some. Sofa when sitting down you go through middle. WiFi didnt work, spent hours trying to get signal and when eventually got signal it would go off every now and again.. also no adequate hangingRead more space for clothes, only hanging rail was above sofa and clothes would drape over you when sitting down.. also sink was stained and dirty on arrival Hide

Fantastic position quiet and peaceful. Amazing hot tub and rain shower/bathroom. Bed really comfortable. Bifold doors really open it up. No storage for clothes. Can definitely recommend Aberaeron. Lovely restaurants and cafes. Lovely walk along the river into town down through the bungalows.

Nice open space outside and the dining area is good with the bi-folding doors fully open. Hot tub was ok but needs operating instructions in the information book. Also WiFi info needs to be in there as we only found a little scrap of paper with the password on it by chance.

Great accommodation. Great quiet location but within walking distance of amenities. Definately recommend a stay at this cottage.
