This beautiful holiday home near Llanidloes is set on the owners' farm. It’s a secluded, idyllic location in the trees, overlooking a pond, stream and hillside, just a few metres from the shared facilities on site. Only 1 mile away is the village of Trefeglwys; there you’ll find a pub that serves food if you fancy a night off from cooking.

On the ground floor, you enter the open-plan living area with oak flooring, two sofas, an armchair and a wood burner. Here, you can cosy up in front of the TV with DVD. The kitchen is well equipped with light wooden units and integrated appliances. You then have the dining area with a table and chairs that seats four. For laundry duties, make use of the utility room with a washer/dryer. The first bedroom with a super-king-size zip-and-link bed, features French doors that overlook the pond. The final room on the ground floor is a shower room with a walk-in shower, heated towel rail and WC. On the first floor, there is a reading area on the mezzanine. The second bedroom has a double bed and French doors that open up to a balcony with a table and two chairs, plus an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC.

Outside, you have a pretty decking area overlooking the pond, garden furniture and a BBQ. There’s also a shared games room, a children’s play area, junior football pitch and a full-size tennis court.

Perfect location and accommodation for a short getaway. Despite poor weather it had everything we needed. Really enjoyed the games room.

Perfect. The views from Derw Lodge are phenomenal. It's on a working farm so there were views of cows and sheep in fields right next to the lodge. A DVD player is provided though with a list of DVDs available from the hosts. The upstairs mezzanine has its own small living area which was perfect for our teen, they had their own 'flat' but were stillRead more there just above the main living room. There are plenty of walks direct from the farm, our dog came home very tired from all the walking! It's ideally located for any other site seeing that you may want to do. Log burner for those cooler nights as well. Everything was provided and the washer/dryer was invaluable for the weather we had when we stayed. I'd highly recommend it Hide

Cottage was perfect and better than we had imagined. The owner was so lovely and welcoming and was at hand for any issues we had. Will definitely be returning, the perfect location for a break from a busy reality!

The Lodge is in a wonderful location and extremely comfortable. The balcony is perfect for sunny breakfasts listening to the birds, and the deck catches the afternoon and evening sun. We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning next year.

The property was in a perfect location by a pond with walks from the door. Also in a good location for days out, even the drives out had amazing views. The house was of a very high standard. The games room was great for the teenager. Thoroughly enjoyed the break.
