The walking trails in the local area are unrivalled, with Offa’s Dyke, Kerry Ridgeway and Severn Way all within easy reach. Less than 1 mile away is the local pub to refuel, and a little further is Roundton Hill Nature Reserve where a plethora of wildlife, flora and fauna can be seen. The towns of Welshpool and Newton are 10 miles away, offering a selection of shops and eateries for slower-paced days to recover from any long adventurous walks.

Boasting exposed timbers and many of the building's original features, this property is full of character and charm. Climb five steps to enter the cottage. The living area offers comfortable sofas and a TV for cosy evenings, whilst the glazed patio door and windows give a great view of the outdoor surroundings. Cooking up meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the traditionally styled kitchen/diner is a treat, with ample preparation space and a large dining table. A cloakroom with WC makes for handy additional storage between the kitchen and living area. For a good night’s sleep, the bedroom has a soft king-size bed with beautiful matching furniture and a skylight window. For a splash of luxury, the bathroom is equipped with a Jacuzzi bath; the perfect place to unwind.

I had the best luck of all being that the weather was dry and rather hot during the week I stayed. The cottage was comfortable and cool despite the hot weather outside. As it is placed in the countryside the views of the valley were a delight in the evening and watching the birds very relaxing. Although the lane to the cottage was narrow but thereRead more were plenty of passing places making it less stressful then expected. The local store was well supplied with food and drinks as required. Hide
