With amazing panoramic views across rolling farmland to the peaks of the Brecon Beacons, you’ll feel in the heart of the national park here. From the doorstep, enjoy miles of wild, open country ideal for walking, mountain biking and pony trekking. Explore the Black Mountain, take the kids to pan for gold at Dologothi (9 miles), or browse the antique shops at nearby Llandovery (4 miles).

Step into this authentic stone cottage and make yourself at home beneath the wooden beams and slanted ceilings, which add to the property’s countryside charm. Relax in the comfortable lounge/diner, curling up on the cosy sofas in front of the TV DVD after an exciting day out. Settle down around the dining table, which seats four, for a meal lovingly prepared in the adjoining kitchen. There is also a bathroom on the ground floor, while upstairs you will find two welcoming bedrooms: one sunny double and one twin, both with hand basins.

Enjoy the spectacular scenery on the south-facing patio, which is a wonderful sun trap during summer months. Savour a delicious al fresco breakfast here using the eggs, bread and coffee from your welcome pack, kindly provided by your hosts. It’s a great spot too to just sit and drink in the incredible views. Parking is available.

Having a stressful job, I needed to get away from the rat race for a bit. Clear water cottage was an amazing place to stay , you could not want for anything,the views are fantastic and being able to walk around in the fields and forest belong to the cottage was amazing Dennis and fiona made us feel so welcome, so much that when it was time to leaveRead more we both could have stayed for another week. We had a wonderful stay. The location is idyllic, so quiet and we had plenty of outdoor space on the doorstep. Fiona and Dennis are so welcoming and really cared that we had an enjoyable stay. Ideal location in the middle of nowhere. Thoroughly relaxing having every eminity that you could ever want. Clean and fresh throughout. Llandovery just four miles down the road and Cilycwn village just a mile away. Very well equipped, including a Christmas tree.

The cottage was amazing, so clean, modern, cosy and in a wonderful location with a small lake and acres of forest to walk on your doorstep with views of Peny-fan in the distance. Ideal location for walkers to explore this beautiful and very quiet part of mid-Wales. The owners were very helpful and welcoming. The heating was easy to operate and enclosed entrance to the cottage makes it easy to deal with muddy clothes and boots. Information was clear and useful..

We were warmly welcomed by the owners with indepth information on how to use facilities, and a guide on places to visit. The property was very well equipped and the surroundings had everything needed for a relaxing stay. All in our party will hopefully be visiting again.

A very clean nice little cottage, part of a complex with the owners living next door; excellent access by foot to beautiful walking areas. Weather permitting, take a look at the night skies - stunning in the dark! Also great for dog walks! Remarkably, all sustainable- leaning!

We had an enjoyable stay in the cottage it was very comfortable and quiet. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and were more than happy to suggest local places of interest to visit. The views and area were beautiful with super walks and rivers close by to visit.We would definitely recommend others to visit.

We had a wonderful stay in Wales. The cottage was very quiet and idyllic. The landscape was breathtaking and our landlords were absolutely friendly and helpful. There were also many great things to explore in the area. The children also loved the cottage and the region. We would definitely recommend this location and would come back again!

Had a lovely break at Clearwater cottage. It is quite remote but, as you relax into your holiday it has a calm chilled vibe. The cottage was absolutely spotless. Could not fault the cleanliness. Fiona made us feel very welcome and couldn't do enough. There was a welcome pack of supplies to get us through the first night and breakfast. My daughter and I stayed for two nights with our two small dogs. The cottage was well appointed, warm and inviting and scrupulously clean. The local walks were accessible and enjoyable. A real place to get away from everything. If you want to switch off this is the place. Worth a trip to Tenby and New Quay. Great dog walks but make sure your dogs are up to date with tick treatment.

I can't fault it in any way. It was clean, with plenty of kitchen equipment, the beds were very comfortable and we felt at home there. Fiona and Denis were very welcoming and extremely friendly, we felt like we had known them for a while. Any changes that they may make can only add to this little gem. What a wonderful week
