Enjoying a peaceful location within the countryside, this spacious apartment with open-plan living space is simply perfect for small families and couples wanting to enjoy the Wye Valley and Brecon Beacons.

Nestled amid peaceful Monmouthshire countryside, this two-bedroom holiday home offers a touch of luxury for couples and small families looking to explore the Wye Valley and Brecon Beacons National Park. Part of a small group of holiday accommodation, this contemporary property has a gorgeous open-plan living space with large bi-fold doors for indoor-outdoor living. Strike out on foot to explore the waymarked walking trails and feast on hearty pub food, or hop in the car to explore historic sites, market towns and beautiful landscapes.

A spacious hallway welcomes you with open arms and offers a convenient spot to store coats, shoes and bags before entering the main living space. Beautifully presented, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is decorated in soothing, neutral tones and flooded with natural light. Perch at the breakfast bar sharing laughter and a glass of something cool while your chosen chef cooks up a storm, then gather around the dining table to share good food and conversation. Enjoy a sundowner on your private patio, then cosy up in the deep sofas and delve into your current read or watch a film on the Smart TV. When it’s time to rest your head, retire to the calming bedrooms, where the super-king-size bed (which can be made up as a twin on request) and king-size bed are adorned with soft linen and throws, - perfect for enjoying a restful night’s sleep. After a refreshing morning shower, you’ll be rejuvenated and ready for new adventures.

If you don’t feel like cooking at home there is a fabulous restaurant 1.3 miles over the hill.  Or if you fancy a walk, pick up the Usk Valley Walk nearby. The quaint town of Usk (3.5 miles) is your closest town, home to independent shops and cafes, or you can visit the market towns of Abergavenny (8 miles), home to an annual food festival, and Monmouth (16 miles). Heritage lovers will find plenty to amuse them in the area, with Tredegar House, Tintern Abbey, the Big Pit National Coal Museum, and the castles of Raglan and Chepstow all within 20 miles.

This was our first self catering holiday as a family and staying at No4 Alice Springs has set the bar high. Great facilities, a very thoughtful welcome hamper and extras such as board games.
