Property code: OC-87950

Occupying a tranquil spot close to the Usk River, this luxurious holiday apartment offers the ideal rural escape for couples and small families visiting the Wye Valley and the Brecon Beacons National Park. Set within a small holiday complex and surrounded by picturesque Monmouthshire countryside, this stylish abode offers open-plan living and a private patio where you can enjoy a morning cuppa or evening sundowner in the fresh country air. Wander out to explore waymarked trails and visit the nearby arts and craft centre, or jump in the car to discover historic sites, lively market towns and beautiful landscapes.

The inviting hallway offers a convenient spot to store coats and shoes before entering the main living area. Bathed in natural light and decorated in soothing, neutral hues, the lounge/kitchen/diner forms the hub of this contemporary property. Perch at the breakfast bar, tipple in hand, to keep your chosen chef company as they prepare meals, then gather around the dining table to share food, conversation and laughter. Throw the bi-fold doors open on warm days to let the outside in, and snuggle on the sofa during the evenings with a good book or watch your favourite TV series or film on the Smart TV. Then say goodnight and retire to the soothing bedrooms (a super-king-size zip-and-link that can be a twin on request and a king-size), and drift off to sleep beneath the soft linens and throws.

The market towns of Usk (3.5 miles), Abergavenny (8 miles) and Monmouth (16 miles) offer an assortment of independent shops, restaurants and farmers’ markets, while outdoors enthusiasts can explore the Brecon Beacons. Heritage lovers will find several attractions including Tredegar House, Tintern Abbey, the Big Pit National Coal Museum, and the castles at Raglan and Chepstow within 20 miles.

Excellent accommodation, exceptional cleanliness and abundant welcome pack added to our enjoyed stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, lovely quiet location, chosen mainly to explore the surrounding area and beyond. We echo a previous review on the privacy, although our seating area is on the corner to afford a bit extra. If you wish for more andRead more certainly the views, then lodge 1 offers the best. The place definitely had a wow factor when we arrived. It was spacious, clean and very well equipped. We couldn't fault the accommodation at all. Josie could not have been more helpful.
