Enjoy a day out to the picturesque market town of Brecon (26 miles), to wander around its pretty streets, pop into a cute cafe for a slice of bara brith or wander along the canal.

The spacious lounge/kitchen/diner is a great space for entertaining. Enjoy a hearty meal around the dining table, admiring the gorgeous countryside views, before retreating to the comfy sofas to watch your favourite film on the TV/DVD. There are some truly spectacular picnic spots near the property. Cwm Rhaeadr (10 miles), which means ‘valley of the waterfall’, is a remote woodland in the Tywi Valley and is a magical place to enjoy an al fresco sandwich. Wander through the forest’s canopy, catching glimpses of the dramatic waterfalls through the trees, before setting up camp in one of Wales’ most picturesque picnic spots. Another area famed for its breathtaking scenery and magnificent walking routes is Llyn Brianne Dam and Reservoir (13 miles) in the Doethie Valley. It’s also a great place for stargazing, with uninterrupted vistas in all directions.
