  • Easy access into the Malvern Hills, the Forest of Dean and the Brecon Beacons
  • A wealth of well waymarked paths for walkers and cyclists
Property code: OC-50507

In the heart of the Herefordshire countryside hides this delightful little find! Once a working cart shed, now a beautiful retreat lovingly restored to a luxurious finish. Sitting among an enchanting cherry tree orchard and glorious farmland within the fringes of the pretty village of Pencombe, you can be promised a truly peaceful stay with only the faint sound of birdsong and tractors to be heard for miles around.

A stay can leave you feeling worlds away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, however in reality you really aren’t far from a whole host of wonderful things to see, do and explore – our favourite kind of holiday! Perfectly positioned to take full advantage of the surrounding emerald countryside with a number of paths winding straight from the farm. However, just a stone’s throw away you’ll stumble across a number of delightful market towns including Ledbury and Leominster, both famed for their Tudor-style high streets, intriguing selection of boutiques and fine eateries. Head a little further and you’ll land yourself in the little town of books, Hay-on-Wye, there really is no better place to sip your coffee and breathe in the nostalgic scent of well-loved books.

After soaking up the sights, take a step back in time through the traditional oak door with shiny black hinges into the utterly stylish interior. The first thing you’ll notice is the eclectic palate of lilacs and lavenders highlighted with pops of personality in the form of tartans, florals and spotty teapots – all carefully chosen to compliment the modern, yet countryside chic style which effortlessly graces every room.

The open-plan living area strikes the perfect balance between spacious living and cosiness. The traditional oak beams give way to a stylish table and chairs and a big comfy sofa, a relaxing area to kick back after a long day exploring and watch films with a hot cocoa! The bespoke hand-made kitchen nestles sympathetically in the corner and is sure to bring out the chef in you with the fine array of equipment to be found here. The handy breakfast bar adds to the fantastic social aspect that this barn offers.

As you start to get weary, climb the wooden stairs where you will find a king-size bedroom with the added luxury of its own en-suite, a further king-size bedroom with amazing views onto the countryside and lastly a single bedroom – a great make up for families.

Let the outside in and step through the lounge doors into your own private garden with seating, a great spot for dining alfresco, soaking up the last of the sunshine or simply sitting back and admiring the panoramic views over the open valley beyond.

A lovely stay in this well equipped and tastefully furnished barn conversion, located on a quiet working farm in beautiful countryside, with plenty of days out (eg Hereford, Worcester, Ludlow, Malvern) well within an hours drive. We particularly appreciated the quality of the beds and bedding, and the electric car charging point was a real bonus.

Disappointing experience not as we were expecting from the description and photos. Bathroom 2 is a hand-held shower head on the bath and not a shower over the bath as stated. Tired and grubby.

Lovely cottage, had everything needed - even the little things, like fresh cloths/sponges for washing up. Complimentary on-site EV charging facility really handy - dont forget to bring your own charging cable! Location ideal for unlimited walks with dogs. Three Horseshoes to be recommended- walkable if youre up to tramping across the fields.
