Situated in a peaceful spot on the outskirts of the historic Welsh village of Cwmtwrch, this beautifully converted longhouse provides warm and welcoming accommodation for six guests. Making a fabulous base for families and friends exploring the western part of the glorious Brecon Beacons National Park, this beautifully furnished holiday property features stunning vistas across the Afon Twrch Valley. Offering a fantastic getaway for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers, this fantastic cottage is a wonderful retreat, with a cosy wood burner, pretty garden and superb views of the surrounding landscapes.

 

The cottage has an elegantly furnished lounge which provides a fresh and relaxing space for you to sit back in front of a warming wood burner, enjoy a movie or a good book, or chat late into the night. The stylish dining room is a wonderful space for sharing all your favourite family meals, while the country-style kitchen is fully equipped and a pleasure to cook in. Going upstairs, the cottage has three light and cosy bedrooms, all set in the eaves of the property with sloping ceilings and some low headroom: there are two pretty doubles (one with en-suite shower room), and a colourful twin, along with a smart family bathroom. French doors open from the lounge into the charming patio which features a BBQ and outdoor furniture – it’s a lovely spot for dining alfresco. To the front of the cottage there’s an enclosed lawn perfect for children to play on.

 

Cwmtwrch is a pretty village perfect for exploring the Swansea Valley and the Brecon Beacons, with the nearby town of Ystradgynlais (3 miles) offering some great pubs and restaurants. Local attractions include the National Showcaves Centre for Wales, the Wales Ape and Monkey Sanctuary, Herbert’s Quarry, Henrhyd Falls, Aberdulais and Carreg Cennen Castle (all within 11.5 miles).

Clean, comfortable cottage with great host. Be aware that cottage is at top of a steep hill.

Lovely property in a quiet location. Mali (host) was friendly and available easily if any issues arose. Would recommend staying at this property.

Attractive & comfortable converted cowshed & stable. Very clean & well equipped. Comfortable beds & quality bed linen. Very pleasant & helpful owner. Good location for exploring the Swansea & Gower areas.
