Cosy cottage, well appointed with luxurious fittings and a great wood burner. Very comfortable mattresses and powerful showers. Thoughtfully decorated in a vintage style but also very practical. The views from the beds into the foliage of the oak trees were very special, not to mention the bird's songs! Fantastic location for many walks.

A cracking Christmas getaway! The property is extremely well equipped and comfortable. Bread, milk, eggs and mince pies were awaiting us on arrival - a lovely touch. The log burner was a fantastic focal point. I would wholeheartedly recommend this property.

In many ways a very pleasant property. Important to remember it is a restored cottage. Comfortable beds with good linen. Very small living space. Lydbrook is limited.

The cottage is impressive; there are so many original features that make you imagine how it would have been when miners and their families lived there. The addition of an attractive, practical kitchen and bathroom make it ideal. The garden is secure for dogs and the view lovely. The cottage is perfectly situated to explore the Forest of Dean
