A spacious traditional farmhouse, bursting with features including a games room and wood burner. The perfect base to relax, yet be within easy reach of Cardigan Town and the beautiful coastline.

This detached property, with rolling countryside views to the rear, is just five miles from the golden sandy beach at Poppit Sands, which is near the popular estuary village of St Dogmaels, with independent shops, waterside pubs and tea rooms. Visit Cardigan, with a historic castle and a great range of attractions and establishments to explore. Lots of coastal villages are waiting to be discovered in either direction, such as Aberporth and New Quay where you can find boat trips, kayak hire and wildlife watching too, where dolphin and seal sightings are possible. The UK's smallest city, St Davids, with its breathtaking cathedral, is a short drive away and avid walkers can enjoy a day in the stunning Preseli Mountains.

Enter this traditional farmhouse through the front door; to the right you will find the cosy lounge area with comfortable sofas, TV and warming wood burner, perfect for those cooler winter months. Off the lounge to the left you will find the formal dining area; this is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a home-cooked meal together. This room has lots of character and retains some original features. Leading off the lounge you will enter the kitchen area, fully equipped with a range-style AGA with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave and a small breakfast bar to enjoy a morning coffee. As you continue to explore the ground floor you will find a small snug area, the perfect space to curl up with a good book. Completing the ground floor is a large games room with a full-size pool table, dart board and TV, and a ground-floor shower room with WC. Also, a handy utility area housing the washing machine and tumble dryer. Heading upstairs, you will find the sleeping quarters. There are four bedrooms: a cosy single bedroom with a view to the front of the property, a twin bedroom with views of the rolling countryside to the rear and two further double bedrooms, all of which have been tastefully decorated and furnished for a good night’s rest. Also on the first floor is the bathroom which is an exquisite room with a free-standing slipper bath for a sumptuous hot soak whilst admiring the country views, plus a separate shower and WC.

Outside, you can enjoy the fresh country air on the decked patio, equipped with charcoal BBQ, while the children take to playing on the enclosed lawn.

Oernant Farmhouse is on a working farm, surrounded by sheep, lambs and cattle. Therefore dogs must be kept on leads at all times when outside the property.

Great cottage, games room is huge hit with younger ones. Three x tv's, Netflix, now TV etc all available so no argument on that scale. dog owners need to be aware sheep very close in fields adjacent to the garden so the rule is dogs on leads! This is fair request by the way. Fantastic beaches near by. Wool museum is great. Countryside is just wondeRead morerful book your holiday here for sure. Lovely farmhouse with excellent facilities. Warm and comfortable with great kitchen. We stayed as 3 generations and it seemed that there were different areas for everyone to have their own space or to be together. We had a lovely holiday and will rebook.

Absolutely loved our stay. The house had everything we needed and was in an ideal location. The food package left contained some of the best bacon Ive had and the pool table was a massive hit. Highly recommend Oernant

We had a glorious time at this lovely cottage. Well appointed, with enough cutlery, plates and dishes for all. Being able to explore the local farm was also a treat. Only 10 minutes away from Cardigan (great for if you need to pop to tesco for the stuff you forgot!) but you still feel deep in the country side.

We had a lovely week at Oernant Farmhouse. The location was perfect for us, with short drives to beautiful coastal spots and a peaceful countryside setting to return to at the end of the day. The games room was a big hit too. A big thank you to the owners, who were quick to respond to any questions we had and made us feel very welcome.
