Savour a stay in North Wales in a cottage that has been created within a section of the ballroom at an old manor house. This three-bedroom haven near Rowen, 4 miles from Conwy, sleeps six guests and nestles right on the edge of beautiful Snowdonia. With all the activities of the national park to enjoy, it is also perfect for days out on the beach and visits to family attractions and historic sights.
Pull yourselves away from the splendid views to step into the cottage and find yourselves in the lounge, which is filled with natural light. Open the doors in here to bring in a breeze on summer days. Light the wood burner on autumn and winter nights, then settle down in front of the smart TV/DVD. Wander through to the kitchen/diner to prepare meals for your family or friends to enjoy together at the table. When eyelids begin to droop, climb the stairs up to the first floor to find the bedrooms, some of which have limited head height due to the age of the building and its sloping ceilings. The bedrooms include a double and a twin, each with a TV, plus a bunk bedroom. The double also has an en-suite shower room, and there is a family bathroom. Wander the shared, landscaped gardens freely during your stay. Serve meals and drinks out on your private patio.
Venture into Conwy to explore the shops and visit the famous castle. Llandudno, with its seaside attractions, is great for families. Those eager to try surfing and other water sports, as well as rock climbing and gorge walking, might wish to spend time at Adventure Parc Snowdonia, 4 miles away. Head to the beach at Traeth Llanfairfechan, 9 miles away, to swim and picnic.
