A detached traditional Welsh longhouse dating back 300 years, set in a peaceful rural location adjacent to the village chapel. Close to the coast and Pembrokeshire’s golden, sandy beaches.

Take in impressive views out over the beautiful countryside towards the sea from this inviting cottage near Trefin in Pembrokeshire. Sleeping six guests and also welcoming a pair of canine companions, the three-bedroom cottage is just 3 miles from charming Porthgain on the scenic St David’s Peninsula. Enjoy exploring the area on foot or by bicycle; follow a section of the Wales Coast Path then return to the old Welsh longhouse to unwind beside a crackling wood burner.

Open the door to this appealing cottage and make your way into the beamed lounge to simply kick back after your exhilarating day. Find a film on the Smart TV, play games together then decide whose turn it is to whip up dinner in the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner. Find everything you need in here to help you prepare meals with your own ingredients then call everyone to the table. Find there is also a utility room and family shower room, with WC, at this level. Climb the cottage-style stairs to discover a family bathroom, with free-standing bath, and three king-size bedrooms. One of these has an en-suite shower room and another can be made into 2ft 6 twin beds if discussed in advance. Wake up to magical, coastal views in all the bedrooms. Enjoy the sizeable gardens to your hearts’ content. Watch the children play on the grass and look for birds in the woodland. Find parking for four cars.

Walk or drive 3.5 miles to swim in the gorgeous Blue Lagoon near Abereiddy. While away warm summer afternoons on the beach at Whitesands Bay, 9 miles away. Visit delightful St David’s, 8 miles from the cottage and said to be the smallest city in the country. Spend an afternoon in Fishguard, 9.5 miles’ drive from your base, to see the old fort.

It was disappointing not to have any fuel for the stove for the fire but we found the accommodation was very nicely furnished and pleasant and the views stunning, especially from the Juliet balcony except for the graves next door, of course. Well positioned for visiting Porthgain, Fishguard and St Davids. Beds were comfortable and the bath with claRead morew feet and distant views from yet another large window made bathing luxurious. The house is very comfortable, with lots of space. Its very well appointed. It turned out very well with three generations sharing. Situated in the most picturesque area. The grandsons loved the beaches & water sports. I loved St. Davids, especially the Cathedral. From the front windows we watched Strumble Head, so on the last day we went to see thRead moree lighthouse, quite wonderful & so isolated, then down to Fishguard for an ice cream. Very attractive. Great location as a base for visiting surrounding beaches and attractions. The Blue Lagoon is a must and the city of St. Davids well worth a visit. Nearest pub is the Farmers Arms, good beer and food, approximately 5 minutes by car The Sloop at Porthgain is also great for food and drink, approximately 4 miles drive from the cottage.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Fantastic views to the coast. Plenty of space downstairs and a lovely kitchen. Very steep stairs to the bedrooms. Lovely views again from the upstairs windows. Good parking outside for 3 cars
